birthday bliss?

dude, i can not just keep up with this blogging stuff....

what have i missed?

Oh, yeah, i had my 32 (WTF?!) birthday. and it fell on father's day (joy) this year. and since i was taking nick to california on that day, we celebrated (HA) the day before. we really didn't do much. we had thai delivered, i had a glass of (crappy) white wine, but i drank it anyway--jason had made a special trip to the liquor store to buy it--it was one her really liked and wanted me to like it too. so i did (not). but whatever.
what did i get for my birthday you ask? let me see....well, first of all i got my teeth whitened by a new laser called ZOOM. it was way cool. it took about 2 hours and it was well worth it. shane (my friend and dentist;) ) did it for me. here's the bad part, his office is so fucking far away, i felt like i was in iowa. jason just kept driving and driving and driving.....cicada's hitting the windshield everywhere, then when we got there i had to wait for my appointment. so then i went to target to kill some time and the cicada's were dive bombing my head. i was freaking out. ok, but back to my teeth....so it takes awhile to get prepped. they have to put spf all over your lips and then they cover your face with wild glasses and gauze and you have a shitload of gauze and other weird dentist paraphernalia in your mouth. but then it's easy, just sit back and relax and whiten! the last 15 minutes was a bit sensitive. and when i left i was in some pain, but less than 48 hours later---no pain, no tenderness, just super white. totally worth it. you should do it now. call shane (click on his name for his website) and good luck getting to b.f.e.
ok, so then after i got my teeth whitened (present from jason) then he gives me a card with a folded up piece of paper in it....an apple iphone!!!! they go on sale on the 29th and he said he's going to wait in line to get me one, cuz' i should have one. HUH? isn't this the dude that wants to kill steve jobs? isn't this the dude that calls his ipod the f.u. pod? i don't care who he wants to kill or hate, i'm getting the iphone!

then, nick, my mom and i went to sunny california to visit my grandparents and my brother. we had such a good time. i seriously wonder why the eff we live here in the midwest? why do we deal with winter? why don't we just move? i am serious. i know you don't believe me. but i am for reals.
